The 12th & 13th of April saw Hero Conventions bring us the first (and hopefully not the last) Something Bloody Awesome Comic Con in Edinburgh.
New short animation from Bruce Timm celebrates the 75th Anniversary of DC’s Dark Knight and it’s a doozy. Moody, old school black and white sees Batman take on those pesky criminals head-on like we’d expect.

A recent title I picked up on my comic con travels was this Indie by Dan Thompson & Steve Penfold……and from that front cover…….it looked to be a fairly wacky idea they had with their main character having a moon for his head.

I love me some indie books but there’s something particularly special about an all-ages book – the task of appealing to young & old alike has always seemed to be such a fine art with those that achieve it being instantly memorable.

After being suitably impressed by issue #1 of this title from creative team of Steve Niles and Damien Worm I was eager to get my hands on this second issue and see what they had in store for the unlikely pairing of Frankenstein’s Monster and Jack the Ripper.

WAAAAAAYYYYY back in November 2011 we met Monynero at Dundee comic day and got hold of a preview issue of his title Death Sentence (#1 review here) and since then there’s been a few things happen with the title.
