The October Faction became an instant hit with me and was one of the easiest picks for my 2014 highlights and with three issues of perfection already from Steve Niles & Damien Worm……I was hoping this would continue into 2015.

After IDW brought The X-Files back for it’s 10th season in comic book form…..the reigns stayed in the hands of Joe Harris for the return of it’s darker, misunderstood cousin – Millennium.

This new title from IDW sees writer Steve Niles & artist Damien Worm team-up again after they worked on Monster & Madman (#1, #2 & #3) earlier this year which I loved. Safe to say that this was on my preorder list straight away and after seeing some teaser images on the lead up to it’s release only helped me get more hyped.

After being suitably impressed by issue #1 of this title from creative team of Steve Niles and Damien Worm I was eager to get my hands on this second issue and see what they had in store for the unlikely pairing of Frankenstein’s Monster and Jack the Ripper.

The latest release from IDW sees Steve Niles merge two well known characters in issue #1 of Monster & Madman. Billed as a “secret history of Jack the Ripper and Frankenstein’s Monster” the mere mention of Niles’ name on this had me pretty sure it was going to be on my pull list.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 20 years – you’ll have some knowledge or experience with the X-Files (if you don’t, then you better catchup ASAP) but to say this fanboy was hyped for X-Files return, albeit in comic book form, would be an understatement of other-worldly proportions.

This year is the 35th Anniversary of Judge Joseph Dredd and with movie released earlier this year….I was hyped to hear that IDW would be releasing an on-going title.
