After a solid opening issue from writer Stephen Sutherland & artist Gary Kelly I was hyped to hear that issue #2 was on the way…….and getting an early look ahead of it’s release makes this whole damn blog thing worthwhile….onward to the review!!!!

It’s just a few days until the Glasgow Comic Con on the 5th & 6th of July and their’s no better way to truly start the summer than in the midst of a con that’s built up a significant following in it’s last few years, stretched to a 2-day event and now spread it’s guests, panels & dealers across three venues……a local highlight of my year and one that I’m hoping continues to go from strength to strength.

From the first time I saw the teased cover image from the creators for Neverending – I had a fair idea that this would be another Indie/Self-published title that I’d be clamouring to get hold of but fate’s heavy hand meant I missed the MCM Comic Con at the SECC which marked the launch……and to make matters worse……at least for me…..it sold out its first print faster than a complaint was registered against the casting of Affleck…..and that’s FAST!

Billed as a superheroic one-shot, Taking Flight is my latest indy comic read and comes hot off the presses from writer Stephen Sutherland and Artist/Letterer Garry McLaughlin. Could have disappeared in among the other tales of capes and super-powers but there’s something a little more “real” about this one.
