Another of the Marvel Now releases sees Simon Spurrier take on one of the X-Men titles but with some stiff competition from some solid starts elsewhere – this title seemed to be a pot-luck affair for me – which was always a 50/50 for paying off.

I don’t know where Francis Portela came from, but I hope he’s here to stay – the detail in his artwork is incredible, and on relatively insignificant background/foreground features, not just the main action. The first page, with lush vines and contrasting space-stuff really shows off his capability.

Legion Lost is a cracking wee issue for Legion fans who need more than a one-a-month fix.
