One of IDW’s latest releases sees an interesting mash-up of ideas featuring zombies and gangsters from creator Alan Roberts.

This IDW release brings something completely different from anything I’ve read before with Brendan McCarthy & Al Ewing’s Zaucer of Zilk #1.

After the success of The Cape, this follow-up release sees IDW bring us Joe Hill’s origin tale, set during the Vietnam War…..but could this flashback reclaim the quality and intrigue from that first one-shot and four-parter?? Continue reading

A grim post-apocalyptic world is laid out by writer Steve Niles & artist Menton3 in IDW’s latest release….and with a tagline that includes ‘Vampires versus Robots’ – it all sounds pretty damn cool to me.

Last month, the Comics Anon team left their cold and windy hometown of Glasgow and ventured down south to the much sunnier city of London for our first Comic Con of the year – London Super Comic Con. With this being its first year in existence we were a little apprehensive about how the weekend would be, but most of those doubts were put to rest by the end of it. With a big venue, a big crowd and a big guest, it was definitely an experience the gang won’t forget. (Apologies it’s a little late – we had a few technical difficulties!) I was almost certain after reading 30 Days #1 that Steve Niles had set us up with a strong ongoing series that would only get better as the story developed. After issue #2 I am now dead certain. Continue reading

I picked up the Eternal Descent Volume 1 trade at Kapow earlier this year after being lured to their stall by huge Marshall amps and Les Pauls with exciting paint jobs. I enjoyed the book, read it quickly and found it to be a lot of fun. It featured as characters, a lot of musicians from bands I like which was quite an interesting idea although it was clear the story was unfinished and so I looked forward to Volume 2. Over the past few months the Eternal Descent team have been teasing us with lots of themed guitars and guitar merch. The difference between these and that Deadpool guitar I was coveting is these actually look more than playable.
