Done correctly, Free Comic Book Day is the perfect chance for publishers to gain readers by giving them some of their story for free and get them hooked. This year there were a few titles that caught my eye, including Boom Studio’s Hypernaturals and the gorgeous Archaia hardback, however Image had the right idea by producing a book which featured several mini strips to introduce you some of their new books – and the one that caught my eye most was Revival. However now that issue #1 is here, this isn’t quite the book I was expecting.

I was almost certain after reading 30 Days #1 that Steve Niles had set us up with a strong ongoing series that would only get better as the story developed. After issue #2 I am now dead certain. Continue reading



JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK #2 by Linsay @softlyspokenlas

Justice League Dark #1 was despite being the book I was most looking forward to reading therefore likely to be jinxed and awful, my definite top book of the DC Reboot. I was dreading and looking forward to Wednesday this week in equal measure, just in case the success of issue 1 was a fluke and I’d be left with another tepid title I’d foolishly pre-ordered.
