This weekend sees the Thought Bubble Festival close with its two-day comic book event – quite possibly one of the best Comic Con’s in the UK and definitely a favourite of the Comics Anonymous gang. We have a table this year in the Royal Armouries Hall Table 88 which you can swing by for some Comic chat/shenanigans…..minus G-Man this year (He’s crying himself to sleep on the run up to it).

How’s about an old-school Sci-Fi story in graphic novel/comic book trilogy form??….Sounds right up my street and the Comics Anonymous roulette wheel of indie titles continue to deliver the goods on almost everything we read.

Friends and stalkers will be aware of my fondness for winter trips to both Belgium and Amsterdam. My favourite comic shop in Amsterdam is Go Joker. The proprietor has an excellent working knowledge of both Swampy and the Blue Beetle which makes for a very pleasant experience. In Bruges I like to visit De Striep and am always in awe at the huge volumes of comics that are in languages I can’t read. They seem to cover every available genre and every second comic isn’t Tintin. Honest. Continue reading
