In recent years we’ve had more than our fair share of “events” from the big two and the unfortunate thing is that most have promised so much and delivered very little as they either fizzle out or never really hit the mark. That was until Infinity came along from Marvel…..
While this 8-parter started back in 2012 and quickly impressed with its initial issues – it went from strength to strength in 2013 and gave us a classic, must-read Daredevil story (See reviews #1, #2, #3-5, #6-8)

The Wake by Scott Snyder & Sean Murphy takes us into the mysterious depths of the ocean and serves up what initially appeared to be a tale of man taking over another part of the earth.
After the 2012 release of Dredd (one of the BEST comic book movie in years…..well I think so) our hopes for a follow-up were shot down in a wave of hi-ex fire……but that was eased slightly this year with the Judge Minty Fan Film.
July saw the annual Glasgow Comic Con take place in a weekend of sunshine, beer and comics……fun times for all and another sell-out.
When I first had a go at reading The Walking Dead, I just couldn’t get into the flow of the title…..but something that helped that was the TV series.
A new discovery for me this year were Hot Toys – ultra-realistic 1/6th Scale versions of some of the BIG comic book and movie characters of the last year(s)
