I found this week a particularly good week for comics, with plenty of titles I wanted to read (and time permitting review). I’ll usually try my best to sort them into some kind of order, starting with what I think is the weakest and leaving the best till last. I got this week’s pile totally and utterly wrong. Slotting Punk Rock Jesus somewhere in the middle, it resulted in an earlier than expected comic high and made the books left in my pile much less enjoyable. That’s right – I’m angry that this comic was so good.

It’s Sunday afternoon of Kapow! 2012 and Scott Snyder sits down to chat to us in a ‘WWBD’ t-shirt (with the bat logo below it) – we’re probably the last people he wants to be chatting to, since he was out to the small hours of the night before with his Detective Comics buddy Jock, drinking and eating hot dogs. ‘It seemed like a brilliant idea at the time’ – at least we know he got a taste of the UK comic scene at it’s best. Hangover aside, Scott was nice enough to answer the many questions we had about all the titles he’s working on just now.

At first glance, this book (with it’s unimaginative title) looks like it will rip-off stories told a dozen times in recent years. Vampires, love, lust, blood etc etc. But give it just three pages and I’ll bet you a fiver it’ll be on your pull list next month.
