A LOOK AHEAD TO……LSCC 2014 by G-Man

LSCC 2014

It’s about 3 months until London Super Comic Con in March 2014 and I thought I’d take a quick look at who’s been announced for this year’s event……maybe even a quick look at some of the other things I’ll be keeping an eye out for at next year’s event.

The first three waves of guests have already been announced and as usual, it reads like a who’s who of the writers and artists I’ve been hoping for and I’m sure it’s the same for the other fans keeping an eye on the LSCC website, Facebook and Twitter.  As previous years have shown there are always some big names still to come as we get closer and closer to the weekend itself.

Wave 1

Arthur Adams
Charlie Adlard
Mark Buckingham
Howard Chaykin
Joyce Chin
Frank Cho
Mike Collins
Gary Frank
Sean Phillips
Chris Weston

Wave 2

Ian Churchill
Katie Cook
Alan Davis
Mark Farmer
Adi Granov
Roger Langridge
John Layman
Dan Slott
Tom Palmer
Brian Wood

Wave 3

Max Brooks
Jacen Burrows
Neil Edwards
Lee Garbett
Andy Lanning
Yanick Paquette
Jamie Tyndall
John Watson
JK Woodward
Chrissie Zullo

The Cosplay event gets bigger and bigger with each year too and there’s sure to be a wide range of home-made costumes covering the heroes and villains of ALL your favourite comics but there are still plenty of more announcements still to come with big name guests, exclusive LSCC variants, panels and a hefty mix of indie creators selling their latest releases……ALWAYS worth considering as there’s more than just a few gems in there.  I’m still hoping to get down for the event too….but then, I was convinced at the announcement of the first wave of guests…..so anything else is just a bonus.

LSCC is well worth considering and although it’s a large event and gets very busy – there’s enough space and planning in the layout that you don’t feel too overwhelmed with a foray into the world of the Comic Con.  Goodie for newbies and with a high quality of guest/panel that let the seasoned con goer get their favourite issues signed and some sketches too.

Keep tabs on their announcements for more BIG news in the coming months.
