IDW Publishing seem to have developed a knack for licensing just the right titles for release…..and this among an already impressive line-up but the stand-out one for me has been X-Files Season 10.
The gang’s all here as Mulder & Scully are joined by CSM, Skinner, The Lone Gunmen, Doggett and more are involved in more cases of the unexplained in a new on-going series. Chris Carter’s involvement is evident as the tone and art style just seem to fit the x-files mould we saw in those nine series, a spin-off and two movies. So it’s a continuation in comic book form that picks up where the last on-screen adventure left off and with a strong opening arc (issues #1-5) we’ve got the return of some classic cases with a monster-of-the week feel to it……issue #6 is just out and we have the Flukeman return in a 2-part arc. Some old faces and old characters thrown into some new adventures and it’s one of the many must-read issues I have on my pull-list……the tricky part is really in what order to read that pile of weekly comics.
