Afterlife Inc.

Following a successful kickstarter at the end of last year, Jon Lock has been planning and working away on the 3rd volume of his AfterLife creation, titled LIFEBLOOD.

A title I’ve followed through it’s previous two releases (Volume 1 & Volume 2) and a project I felt compelled to support in the Kickstarter itself.  So with a release of that third volume due later in 2013 – you’ve got ample time to take a look over Jon’s teaser talk below and catch-up on those previous volumes if you haven’t already.

Here’s what Jon had to say about that 3rd volume, the Kickstarter and more:

Jack Fortune and Co. return in Afterlife Inc. Volume 3: LIFEBLOOD

Manna. Energy source of dead. The lifeblood of the Empyrean. For Afterlife Inc. no resource is more vital in their ongoing mission to modernise the afterlife. But when CEO Jack Fortune attempts to revolutionise the manna industry, little could he realise the world of trouble his actions would unleash. From dissension in the ranks to stupid sexy vampires, life – or death – is about to get very complicated for Afterlife Inc. Terrible things are lurking beneath the surface of Jack’s Brave New World.
And nothing stays buried forever…
Kickstarter
Afterlife Inc. Volume 3: LIFEBLOOD was funded thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign in November last year. As a result of the incredible generosity of my backers, I am now able to tell the biggest, most ambitious Afterlife Inc. story to date. As the challenges for Jack Fortune grow, so too must the storytelling, and with the superstar team of Ash Jackson and Nathan Ashworth on art duties, Afterlife Inc. has never looked better.
Preview
LIFEBLOOD is currently in production and is due for release in autumn 2013. Until then, however, I am very happy to bring you a free preview for your enjoyment. This preview is available to read online via my website or can be downloaded as a high-def PDF.

I am also very happy to announce that Volume 1 of Afterlife Inc. is now available on Comixology, the leading app for digital comics. Volume 2 and a few Afterlife Inc. surprises are due to follow in the very near future.
Jon also passed along some preview art from the project:

Jon is a great writer and has a big future ahead of him. He has the potential to be the next Grant Morrison or Alan Moore
