No #hurricanbawbag can stop the Comics Anonymous gang from telling you our 2011 highlights! Day 8 is Linsay’s turn, and you’d have never guessed that the big Blue would have made her list, would you?
Its no secret that I’m quite fond of the Blue Beetle. 2011 has seen both BB highlights and disasters. To get the negative out of the way, the DCnew52 BB has been a total non entity for me. A completely pointless re-telling of the last series and a complete waste of an opportunity. Fortunately, Grant Morrison told me enough of his plans for Pax-Americana, a sortof – what if the Watchmen never happened – kindof thing involving the old charlton characters. Frank Quitely is drawing this and I am fortunate enough to own his first ever sketch of Mr Kord.
You’ll find the Blue Bettle mentioned several times on the blog, but check out my review of issue #1 and watch out for an interview and spotlight feature with Frank Quitely coming soon!

Give Blue Beetle a chance; he’s awesome! In issue 4 Silverback and La Dama shall start to move against Jaime plus we see interaction between him and the scarab!
