It’s day 4 of our highlights feature – it’s also very cold outside, so cosy on down and let Gary tell you why Matt Fraction was one of his 2011 highlights.
I didn’t think that anyone could top J. Michael Straczynski’s phenomenal run on Thor….but this year has seen Matt Fraction step up to that challenge and bring us Mighty Thor alongside the EPIC Fear Itself. It’s been story-telling in the best possible way and with artists like Olivier Coipel (Mighty Thor) and Stuart Immonen (Fear Itself) on-board it’s just added to the quality of these titles. In recent years he’s managed to reinvent Iron-Man and as a fan of his work there, I was excited to see how he would take on a favourite character of mine with Thor…..and he nailed it. As Fearless continues and as Marvel announces a relaunch of Defenders…..I’m keeping an eye on where Fractions work will take Marvel characters and me next.
