As well as your regular dose of Comic reviews, the Comics Anonymous team will be offering you even more, with event reviews, career profiles and interviews with some big names in the business and more competitions. Here’s a quick look at what we have coming up…

Spotlight and Interview with MARK MILLAR

We’ll be meeting with the Glasgow comic writer that’s taken the industry by storm with his creator owned books and his fantastic takes on characters like Superman and the Avengers. Not only will we be posting our first “Spotlight On” post about him, we’ll have an interview and competition giving away signed copies of 1985 and SUPERIOR (donated by the lovely people at Comics by Post).

The CA-Gang will be attending the one day event in Dundee on 30th October, which forms part of the Dundee Literary Festival. We’ll be on hand to give you a blow for blow account of what some of the UK’s greatest talent has to say about “what can comics teach us?”. We’ll be running more spotlight posts on the guests of the festival including Frank Quitely, John Wagner, Cam Kennedy, Colin MacNeil and Robbie Morrison.

Leed’s Comics Convention THOUGHT BUBBLE

We’ll be taking our show on the road all the way down to Leeds to attend our first every Thought Bubble – a massive UK comic convention with plenty of stalls, workshops, panels and top quality guests. We’re most looking forward to meeting the likes of Kieron Gillen, Jamie McKelvie, Adam Hughes, Jeff Lemire, Tim Sale, Doug Braithwaite, Dave Gibbons, Jock and Andy Diggle. Expect reviews, interviews, photos and videos!

Red Hot Comics 20th anniversary with FRANK QUITELY and METAPHROG

Our Local Comic Shop of choice turns 20 this year, and owner Ivor is celebrating in style by inviting artist Frank Quitely and comic creators Metaphrog into the store for a signing. We’ll be there (as we are every weekend!) to get the lowdown from both guests.

We’ve got big plans for the blog, including upgrades, forums and video content – but don’t worry, we’ll still have time to read our comics stack each week and give you our opinion. Make sure and get involved by telling us your thoughts and suggestions on what to read next.
