I’m late late late for a very important Wednesday post. Indecisive night owls, this one’s for you.
New releases 18 April 2012
Yay Image! This week we’ll mostly be reading… Manhattan Projects #2 (see issue #1 review) and Walking Dead #96 (long may it last).
The pick of the DC bunch this week: Batman and Supergirl.
Marvel’s Defenders is at issue #5 and, announced at C2E2 this weekend, Jamie McKelvie will be on this series from #8. Plenty of time to pick up the back story before then. There are also new issues of X-Factor (at #234), Avengers vs. X-Men, Incredible Hulk (#7, the end of the Banner vs. Hulk arc) and Punisher #10, part of the Omega Effect Spidey/DD/Punisher crossover.
Gary’s looking forward to IDW’s Rocketeer Adventures Vol 2 #2 (of 4), a great mix of short punchy stories from quality creators, and Dynamite’s The Shadow #1, which sees Garth Ennis’ take on the character.
From Renegade, we have Turning Tiger – Richmond Clements’ graphic novel. Rich is one of the organisers of the lovely Hi-Ex! con and we’ll have a review of the book up soon.

Last week’s stack
Craig’s rundown: Saga #2 was great, America’s Got Powers shows potential, but nothing can beat Flex Mentallo which he finally got round to reading this week (in-depth review soon).
